Japanese pianist Noriko Ogawa made her name at the Leeds Piano Competition in 1987, and has since become a leading performer in the UK, Japan and around the world. In a programme that mixes the popular with the unfamiliar, she plays Debussy and music by Japanese composer, Takemitsu, who was deeply influenced by musical impressionism. Noriko is known for her fine touch and fluent virtuosity, bringing a rare sensibility to all her music-making.
