Japanese
pianist Noriko Ogawa made her name at the Leeds Piano Competition
in 1987, and has since become a leading performer in the UK,
Japan and around the world. In a programme that mixes the
popular with the unfamiliar, she plays Debussy and music by
Japanese composer, Takemitsu, who was deeply influenced by
musical impressionism. Noriko is known for her fine touch
and fluent virtuosity, bringing a rare sensibility to all
her music-making.
